(2nd amended version).
The lawsuit is related to the meter installation project that was completed in 2024. To satisfy concerns raised by shareholders at the time of the meter installation project, and to help shareholders new to our neighborhood since then, the water company published a page providing background information on the project and addressing concerns raised by shareholders.

Proposed Amendment to our Bylaws: Binding Arbitration
Originally announced on April 23, 2025, the board of directors is proposing we amend our Bylaws to require binding arbitration as our legal dispute resolution mechanism.
The motivating intention of this amendment is to save substantial amounts of both time and money on resolving any future disputes. Legal fees associated with lawsuits are expensive. Because we wish to minimize costs it is important for Forest Park Mutual Water Company to ratify this binding arbitration amendment to our Bylaws that we expect will expedite resolution of any future legal disputes and significantly reduce associated costs.
